LEVEL 1

Course emphasis :

* creating awareness of sounds

* associating names to  common objects.  

* introducing the alphabet and the sounds of letters 

* differentiating vowels and consonants.

LEVEL 2

Course emphasis :

* learning to blend sounds consisting of three letters 

* introducing verbs (action words) 

* expressing words in relation to pictures

* ability to spell and pronounce Level 2 vocabulary with confidence

* ability to read Level 2 Phonics Fun Reading book

LEVEL 3

Course emphasis 

* learning blend sounds consisting of four or more letters 

* widening of vocabulary with more nouns and verbs

* ability to read and spell with confidence the new words learnt

* ability to make short sentences and phrases with words learnt

* ability to read short stories from Level 3 Mind Phonics Fun Reading Book.

LEVEL 4

Course emphasis :

* learning more combination sounds 

* understanding the sequence of events and ability to use that knowledge in expressing ideas and making longer sentences. 

* learning self-expression and developing speech through reading of rhymes.  

* introducing longer comprehension passages and answering free response questions. 

* introducing grammar beginning with the family of nouns.

LEVEL 5

Course emphasis :

* learning of more advanced combination sounds 

* ability to express thoughts into proper sentences.

* ability to understand the concept of time and the use of past tense 

* learning to write short passages creatively and with confidence
